How you can helpBecome a Volunteer

We need your help to make our vision of a litter and pollution free Scottish coastline a reality. You can get involved and support us in a variety of ways.

On the beach

We all have a part to play in turning the tide on litter. Join an event or organise your own and be part of the most influential fight against marine litter in the UK!

Join a Marine Conservation Society beach clean through the Beachwatch scheme. Everything collected on the day is documented and becomes part of the evidence base.

Be a part of Keep Scotland Beautiful's year-round 'Clean Up Scotland' campaign - aiming to build community pride and make Scotland clean for future generations. Register your Clean Up event and you can access their Clean Up kits and have your event advertised on the Clean Up Scotland events map.

This April and May is KSB's National Spring Clean so why not register or join a clean up near you.

There are lots of other organised beach cleans, or you might be collecting litter on your dog walk or other beach trip. However you do it, if you clean up a SCRAPbook beach we want to hear from you!

On the sea

If you have a kayak, a RIB or a boat and would like to help by accessing harder to reach parts of the coastline to carry out beach cleans, please contact us to register your interest and find out more.

From home!

You can also help with analysing the images - these can accessed from home, along with guidance on how to complete the assessment form.

We are very grateful for your support in taking action to target coastal litter!
